Our amazing volunteers make our book sale possible, volunteering their time, energy, and organizational skills to make it all come together. Volunteers help before, during, and after the event, with tasks such as sorting, staging, signing, organizing, and helping customers find that perfect selection. It’s not only vital to the mission of raising funds for the library—it’s a great way to come together for the community.

One of our new volunteers said “This was an amazing community event! You see so many people from so many walks of life, and it’s great to see parents and teachers and readers get such high quality books so affordably. I really enjoyed meeting new people, from my fellow volunteers to the public. I can’t wait to do it again!”

If you’re interested in volunteering for our next book sale (March 30-April 1) we need you! Sign up for a couple of hours–or more if you like! Drop us an e-mail at: volunteer@ftol.org.

The Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library raise funds to support the library’s operational needs, supplying funds for books and materials, technology, programs, classes, and events. Membership information can be found on our website at: http://ftol.org/membership/.
