The Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library (FTOL) raise the funds the library needs for programs, materials, and technology through the sale of donated items. When you donate your gently loved materials and shop our sales, you help us help the library!

You can find detailed information on donations here.

We offer three ways of shopping:

1) In-Person – Our Friends’ Bookshop shelves in both libraries are filled with a wide, ever-changing variety of gently loved books in great condition. Most paperbacks and hardcover books are $1, with children’s books and mass market paperbacks at just fifty cents per title. The shelves are arranged by category for the ultimate in browsing fun—Cooking? Travel? Art? History? The classics? — whatever your interests, you’ll find shelves full of books to explore.
The Bargain section in the Grant Brimhall Library is a treasure trove of items, displayed for easy shopping and just 25 cents an item. Both Bookshops also include DVDs, CDs, audio books and more.
