Mark your calendars for a most elegant literary afternoon, as the Ventura County Reading Association, the Thousand Oaks Library, and the Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library bring you a Book Talk Tea! Saturday, January 29th, from 2-4pm, join us at the Thousand Oaks Library to meet, mingle, and socialize with a dozen of the area’s prize-winning children’s authors.
After a brief presentation by the authors, guests will have the chance to socialize and ask questions over light refreshments—get to know the author and the story behind the story, to share with your children, grandchildren or classroom. The authors’ books will be available for sale, and the author right there to sign them!
Information will be available about the Ventura County Reading Association’s Young Authors Faire and the California Young Reader Medal Program, as well as opportunities to connect to resources, and workshops.
Come be a part of an active and thriving literacy community, and come away enriched with new stories and new acquaintances! The event is free and open to the public; pre-register to receive a ticket for a prize drawing at the door at www.vcrareading.org.
For questions about the tea, contact: BookTalkTea@gmail.com, or visit www.vcrareading.org.
More information about the tea is available by downloading the event flyer.
