The end of the year is rapidly approaching, and with it, the deadline to donate books for 2017 income tax deductions. The Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library welcome your donation of used books to help fund essential library programs, acquisitions, and technology.
Bring your gently used books, games, puzzles, and instructional materials to either library; ask at the circulation desk, and help will be gladly provided to transport materials from your. We turn your used books into library programs and materials; you get new shelf space, a tax receipt, and the knowledge that you are helping the Friends help #keepthelibraryawesome. That’s a win-win to start off the new year!
Remember: The deadline to file your 2017 income taxes is April 15, 2018. But the deadline to donate books for the 2017 tax year is December 31st, 2017. For any questions about donations or materials, please contact Friends President Geri Trail at buttontrail@aol.com.
