For book lovers, there’s no place like the LA Times Festival of Books. It’s one of the most significant literary events in the country—two days of celebrity authors, publishers, poetry readings, panel discussions, cooking demos, children’s activities and, a variety of food vendors. But if you’ve attended before, you know arriving, parking, and departing are a nightmare. 150,000 people? All arriving at the USC campus at once? PLEASE. But what’s a book lover to do?

Let us ferry you to and from the festival in a cushy bus–all you have to do is show up at the Newbury Park Library, ready to rock and roll and read! The trip will take place on Sunday, April 14th; the bus will depart from the Newbury Park Library at 9 am and return at approximately 6 pm. Cost is $41 for members, $46 for non-members, which includes the roundtrip bus fare and driver gratuity. Make the trip in sublime comfort and alight from the bus refreshed and ready for a day of literary abundance. At the end of the day, when your feet are tired, your arms full of new books and your head spinning from new ideas, all you have to do is step onto the bus and sink back with a happy sigh—no parking lot chaos, no freeway, no traffic congestion.

Call Carol at 805-480-1450 for reservations and details—this is a popular festival, seats will fill fast, and there will be only one bus. See you there!
