If you’ve found yourself at home for the foreseeable future because of social distancing or closures, there are many resources to keep you busy, entertained, and informed. As you probably know, both branches of the Thousand Oaks Library are closed at the moment, but did you know the Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library pay for the library’s online resources? There are thousands of e-books, magazines, movies, and more, all accessible from your device in the comfort of your own home. Educational tools and instructional materials, too, to help while school’s out.

Visit the Virtual Library to take in the vast array and abundance of what’s available to you online—while no one could have foreseen this turn of events, we’re proud to have raised the money the library needs to provide these resources to the community. Just one of the ways we love to help #keepthelibraryawesome!

Another avenue for books, especially if you’re looking for a certain title to make your own, is the Friends’ Amazon Marketplace storefront, which lets you shop for that special title right from your phone, your tablet or your desktop. We maintain a large inventory of books in excellent condition at far below market prices. Check out the online selection right here, and remember, your purchase helps us help the library.

So remember, till things return to normal, we’re here for you. Thanks for your support!
