#GivingTuesday is an inclusive community of givers, all celebrating caring and generosity by giving back to their communities on #GivingTuesday, December 1st. The Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library play an important role in our community by raising the funds that provide enhancements to what our City Government provides in its budget for library services. We provide over $150,000 dollars a year to the Library for materials, technology, programs, and more. In recent months, the Virtual Library, which Friends’ funds help to support, has been a lifeline to residents staying at home during the pandemic.
Generosity is held as a universal value that inspires community and helps build the world we want to live in. For library supporters like us, this means a world with libraries with excellent e-books, the regular books and DVDs we love, fascinating programs for people of all ages, up to date technology, and regular communications about what is fresh and new at the library.
Keep the good feelings going and make a difference with your participation. Give what you can on #GivingTuesday, December 1st to help us reach our goal of writing that annual check for $150,000 as a gift to the Thousand Oaks Library. Monetary donations can be small or large, and all donations, one-time or recurring, are appreciated and celebrated.
Thanks for your support!
