Friends of the Library groups have their very own national week of celebration. Friends’ groups across the country will come together and commemorate this special week with events large or small to remind our community of the contribution that is made in supporting our local library.

Our legacy as an organization in support of our library is in the hundreds of library cards that are opened each month, the variety of programming available for all ages, and in having a library as a centerpiece destination of our cities or towns.

Collectively our mission is to not only to support the mission of libraries in our towns, but to ensure that access to books, access to technology and programming are free and available to everyone. We thank our volunteers, members, patrons of our bookshops in person and online, for allowing us to continue in our mission.

“Libraries store the energy that fuels the imagination. They open up windows to the world and inspire us to explore and achieve and contribute to improving our quality of life.” Sidney Sheldon
