October 17-23rd marks the 16th National Friends of Libraries Week. Thank you to all 355 Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library. Your support of the mission to increase awareness of our libraries and raise funds used to assist the library in promoting learning, literacy, and cultural knowledge is very much appreciated.
Funds contributed have allowed the library to purchase materials, provide programs, and finance services that reach all ages of individuals in our community.
Your contributions make a difference in:
- keeping kids reading in the summer reading program
- maintaining the saltwater aquarium
- purchasing books for The History Book Discussion Group and The Friendly Book Discussion Group as well as the Book Club in a Box program
- providing One City, One Book materials and programs
- outfitting the library with technology and items like 3-D printers
- offering e-books for readers, audio-books for those who like to listen, and e-resources for those who conduct research
Thank you all. Please encourage your friends to become Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library.
