The Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library raises funds for the benefit of the library through the sale of donated books and other media. The proceeds from the sale of donated items help the library meet its budget needs for programs, materials, and technology. We rely on community donations to help carry out our mission of supporting the library; please keep us in mind when you have materials to donate.
The Friends are always in need of:
- Hardback and paperback books in good condition – both fiction and non-fiction
- Children’s and young adult books
- Coffee table books and collectible books
- Music CDs
- Audio books on CD
- DVDs or Blu-ray discs of movies, TV series, and documentaries
- Puzzles
- Board games
- Records (by special arrangement; contact sales@ftol.org)
Items we are unable to accept include:
- 8 track tapes
- Encyclopedia sets or single volumes
- Items which are moldy, torn, missing pages or covers
- Items that are water or otherwise damaged
- VHS tapes
- Cassette tapes
- Clothes or household items
- Magazines, maps, journals and pamphlets
The Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library (FTOL) is accepting donations at both libraries during the hours the libraries are open.
Please do not leave materials in the parking lot after library hours.
